Thermography – examinations with an infrared camera

The thermographic examination of an object with a infrared camera serves the visualization of thermal bridges and the location of possible moisture damage and building defects. Leakages in the building envelope can also be made visible in conjunction with an airtightness test. Thermography is also a good means of quality assurance for heat distribution lines and thermal insulation of pipes, facades and roofs.

The evaluation of thermographic examinations is carried out in a detailed test report with an explanation of the images and if necessary, clear recommendations for action.

Thermography is usually carried out in winter, at night at cold outside temperatures. These conditions are necessary to obtain reliable images without external influences which falsify the result.
